Darlene Geronda Hadley
First Lady
1st Lady Darlene Geronda
Hadley began serving the Lord in 1975 at the age of eighteen and became a
member of the Bridgeton Miracle Revival Tabernacle (now Glory Tabernacle) under
the leadership of the late Bishop Dr. Arvin J. Hall, Sr.
She served in ministries/auxiliaries
as a member of the Adult Choir, Usher Board, Praise Team, Director/Founder of
God’s Little Ones, Pastor’s Aide Committee, and with her husband served as
Pre-Marital Counseling and Couples Coordinator. She is also a soloist and a true worshipper. She loves to sing and dance. In 1999, the Adult Choir had changed its name
to Agape Choir and sang with the Recording Praise Team for their first CD
entitled, “Glory in Praise”.
She has served as Assistant
Coordinator for the Women’s Retreat/Advances for nearly 20 years under then
Co-Pastor Annie Ledora Hall.
Her spiritual life began to take
off. Little did she know that God was
getting ready to elevate her to another level. The mantle of Pastor was passed down to her husband, David A. Hadley,
Sr. and she became known as “First & Only Lady”.
God still had more in store for
her. On June 15, 2003, she was ordained
as a minister of the gospel by her own Pastor/husband and the Ruling Elders of
Glory Tabernacle.
In 2004, she participated in the
production of a second CD, “The Sounds of Glory Tabernacle” as a member of the
gospel group “Glory’s Reel” being featured as “Lady La” on the song “Where Did
All The People Go”.
On October 1, 2006, she was ordained
an “Elder” of Glory Tabernacle; in September 2007, 1st Lady Hadley
was appointed a Ruling Elder and became Coordinator of the Women’s Ministry.
1st Lady Hadley is now the
Executive Director of the Glory Tabernacle Childcare and Learning Centers and
serves on the Board of Directors as a Trustee.
Out of all of the many talents and
gifts she has, her greatest love is for her husband to whom she has been
married since May 26, 1973, Pastor David A. Hadley Sr.; her four children,
Michelle, David Jr., Diane, and Monica; her sons by marriage, Herman and Ivan;
daughter by marriage, Arlynda and of course all of her precious grandchildren
and great-grandchildren!
After God, all else takes a back seat
to her family. She is in her glory when
she’s surrounded by those she loves and adores. She gives glory to God for “all He has done!”
